Temecula Engagement Photos // Santa Rosa Plateau
Whhhhhhats up beautiful people!!?!? My gawwwwd these two are attractive, eh? lol. yeahhh so sometimes models get married ;-) annnnd when they do [as a photographer] you pray they hit you up wanting you to take their wedding photos. The wedding photography gods smiled upon me once again when Elaine and Fletcher found us. I’ve sometimes wondered why they hired me? cause they want me to make them look good?? I mean, they couldnt take a bad pic even if they were offered a large sum of money… so really they could probably just put the camera on a tripod with a timer and do the same stuff Im doing for engagement photos, right?? ;) I kid.
ME on the other hand?? Its better that I remain on the other side of the camera. lol  There is just a certain level of vulnerability that I have grown wary of… or perhaps its the safety of being behind the lens. Either way I know my place and Im glad people big n small, short n tall think enough of the work to invite us out to document the way we do. My wife is blessed enough to have been on the other side of the camera for years. My muse. Thats what got my attention initially [such a fox] and its years of having her pic taken that makes us what we are. For real. She can pose and position like no other when asked which allows me to hit the ground, bust out a prism or just get weird and artistic with it. Oh and it is also her that sorts through all the photos we take to find the most flattering angles that a girl will love. Cause if you leave that up to me you ladies will have arms you think are too fat [they arent] and double chins [that arent really there either] cause Im too busy admiring how epic the sky n clouds are and how well composed the shot is. And there is a lot of that in here [epic sky, prism, composition] so thanks Jess for being fabulous once again and making us all look good.
Moving on… in order to break away from the typical Temecula wedding photographer stomping grounds [old town, wine country, or that park everyone goes to where they started ticketing] for this engagement session we drove about 20 minutes to take photos at the beautiful santa rosa plateau. Now before the secret gets out [which it totally is already] you ARE NOT allowed to shoot on the preserve without a permit and I feel like the county wanted some ridiculous amount for one. No thanks. So how did we do it? My little secret.. but I can honestly say we didnt break any rules in the process. Get out and explore a bit. Although now I can honestly say I’ve used this spot quite a bit.. its probably time I took my own advice and got out and explored deeper still off the beaten path.
Click! Bang! Boom!! tilt shift! Prisms! and smiling faces oh my!
