Temecula Engagement Photographer – Lake Skinner

Todays engagement was a ton of fun out in the hills of a little slice of paradise we call home, Temecula. Jayson and Lauren left it up to us to come up with a location. Looking for an outdoorsy feeling we decided to head over to Lake Skinner. As a Photographer in Temecula, I’ve got a few sweet secret spots I know of that I like to shoot at. Dont like shooting the same thing repetitiously so Skinner was something new I wanted to try. I havent been there in a good while but remembered how after a good rain this time of year everything is nice n green. Confession: I used to work at Lake Skinner in the store and marina when I was teenager… while most other kids my age were serving burgers in fast food joints I was hangin on the dock BS’ing with fisherman and holding down the lonely general market. Those were good days and I got slightly nostalgic driving through today. The place has changed, lots of improvements.. glad to see it’s change for the better.

Jayson and Lauren are in love and they have been for a while… you can tell. Not just the way that Jayson looks at her or the way they laugh and play. They are just comfy together. They are natural. My favorite. It only took a few minutes to get into the swing of things under menacing clouds. We had a REALLY great time, take a look.

See… That was fun wasnt it? The black and whites above are of my favs from the set. Moody. Dramatic. So after rocking Lake Skinner we decided to switch gears. We bailed for a location outside of the park where we had wide open area to shoot. We encourage our couples, and everyone we shoot to feel free to give input and ideas to the shoots. Its your shoot, how do you want it to go? I mean dont go to the beach if you arent beach people just because thats what it seems like people do on engagement shoots, ya know? That being said Jayson and Lauren let us know of their love of sports and rival teams. Their cake topper is a groom pitching to his bride… so thats kinda how we started it and rolled from there.
