Palm Springs Wedding Photographers in the HOUSE!!
COOL! COOL! COOL! not words you typically hear to describe a Palm Springs wedding, eh?! Well it was practically the middle of summer… so Im not talking about the weather! The wedding photography gods bestowed upon us a beyond cool couple, at a funky cool retro Palm Springs location, with plenty of cool beverages to keep the temp down. I’ll come out right now and tell ya that I swore off summer weddings in the desert years ago after sweating through multiple shirts in 115 degree weather… but every now and again I make an exception for the exceptional. Kathy and Len were just that. My kind of people with goals of pulling off a small but wild party poolside at a VERY cool VRBO rental they found in the typical Palm Springs retro architectural fashion. Thats right, I said poolside!! and you know towards the end of the night that is exactly where the party ended up! And why not!? with enough booze and desert heat it no longer becomes a crazy idea, but a necessity ;-) If I can get a few more of these kinds of parties I can totally justify picking up an underwater housing for my camera and taking the pool party wedding to the next level. As of now I maintain well above water level when snapping cannon balls and sailor dives. This party was complete with parasols for protection from the sun. A taco truck was serving up unlimited street tacos to soak up the booze from the costco sized bar. There were also a variety of pool floaties [swan, flamingo, duck] kept even the most inebriated guests afloat, even if it was only temporary. Oh and a kick ass photobooth by SD Photobus! Sooooo many great candid moments poured out all day long… smiles n tears.. sometimes simultaneously! It doesnt get much better than this.
