Taking a much needed break from the Wedding Photography game for a bit, this is the off season. Branching out is cool. This is the time when as photographers we regroup, rebrand, rebuild and reinvest [in new photo gear] for the upcoming year.

Jessica photographed this of her friend just this past week. Such a beautiful thing that I think she will be diving more into. She has one more friend due very soon who has agreed to come and let her shoot the same thing. Its going to be beautiful as well. Photographing a birth story is new territory and tricky to plan for, there is a lot of waiting involved and when the moment happens you gotta be there. I’m loving this more documentary style of shooting. Inspires me to tackle a few projects I have had in my head for a while. We’ll see what new direction 2012 takes us. Jess and I are expecting a new baby in 2 months so I am looking forward to giving this a go then. I did it once already and have yet to put it into a slideshow format as beautiful as this.
