LA Museum of Natural History Wedding
Temecula Wedding Photographer rocking a wedding at the LA Museum of Natural History
Got the opportunity to second shoot this awesome wedding with my buddy Ryan up in LA at the Museum of Natural History a few weeks ago. I seriously love it when I can sit back and cruise as a 2nd shooter…
A) because getting to ride shotgun, not having to drive amongst the chaos that is LA traffic trumps all.
B) simply put, being a “2nd” psychologically takes the heat off and allows me to be creative and take chances while backing up another kick ass wedding photographer, complementing with different styles.
Plus I know that as a 2nd, if something goes wrong I can shrug my shoulders look confused and just point to him ;) lol. [totally kidding] What I’m not kidding about is that we totally crushed it and had a blast doing it. Shooting in a museum is something I’ve only gotten to do a couple times and something every wedding photographer looks forward to. Sooooo many awesome places and spaces to venture into with tons of variety and opportunity. I mean, where else are you going to find full sized dinosaurs and crazy stuffed bears posed to kill!? Exactly. So we had an awesome venue with a good lookin couple and 200+ guests, what could really go wrong!?
I hung with the guys as he took on the girls for the getting ready [which is why this shoot may seem a bit one sided] and as usual we had a few cocktails and became a part of the crew. I dont know what you do for work.. but in my line of “work” I get to drink on the job. I call it “creative juice”… so when a groom offers me creative juice upon arrival its considered a sin to turn him down. [See how supportive I am?] I take this stuff seriously ;)
Here is a grab of some of my favorite photos I took from the day. Enjoy!
Ryan thanks for having me out! We make a great team and I am counting on you to drag me out of Temecula for a few more awesome weddings this year… that way my portfolio doesnt become totally repetitive with Temecula wedding photography ;)

oh and looking at that photo with me is a nice reminder I need to work on my photo posture. Can't be looking like the hunchback of Notre Dame on game day

Yeah the shots all came out rad. You killed it. 'Twas a good day of shooting. It would be nice if we didn't have to drive so far to photograph awesome locations. Oh well.
