Griffith Observatory Engagement Photos
Griffith Observatory Engagement Photos up today on the Temecula Wedding Blog ! Feels great to get up to LA again and crush it with another amazing engagement session. This is our second time up at Griffith Observatory and wouldn’t you know it, I found parking up top in the front row this time. Dunno why I did it but I drove up thinking “why not?” which is not your typical LA parking mid set… but ya know what? it happened. Glorious. The parking gods smile upon me once again… or maybe its just the universes way of letting me know its sorry for making me park at the very bottom of the hill last time and laughing at me as I ran up the hill with a backpack full of gear.
The view from the top of the hill is always stunning and today we had a layer of clouds acting like a massive soft box in the sky, beaming down with diffused and soft light. It was perfect. Pair that with happy shiny faces of Sally and Tam and its a recipe for awesome sauce. No crowds today either, dunno what that was about. Perhaps the cloud layer and lack of sunset kept everyone away. All good by me, we rocked the shoot without any added distraction.
I decided to play a little with the tilt shift this afternoon + the prism.. and actually both at the same time. Which can be tricky. Tilt shifts are manual focus only so trying to tilt, bust focus with a properly aligned prism in hand can be tricky. Those things splinter up into shards real good if ya drop em. Watch out, got some high stakes prism engagement photography goin on here. [nobody was harmed in the process]
Sally and Tam came totally prepared with a sign for the save the dates. Course I shot the obvious shot but I had to have a bit of fun with it too. Always love me a good shoot through so I broke out the tilt and got on the ground.
That was fun, yeah?!?! well click >> if you wanna see another set of really slick Griffith Park Engagement Photos from our last session up here! Or how about some kick ass wedding pics from Sally and Tams Wedding at the estate on second st. in Santa Ana??
