Carnation Tree Farm Wedding : Destination Wedding
Destination Wedding Photography !! Inner Song rocks a wedding at the Carnation Christmas Tree Farm in Washington!
“Always the Bridesmaid, never the bride” …. you’ve heard the saying before, right?? We have one similar to that in our house when it comes to being a guest at a wedding.. I’ll let you figure it out. LOVE photographing weddings of our friends and family. I sign up for it every. single. time. Although my days of infinite dibs on F&F weddings may be running short cause I think that Jess wants the guest experience at some point ; ) lol. For real though, I would WAYYY rather be a wedding photographer than a guest. As as photographer we are the wingman/woman for the day and get to hang out with our couples wayyyy more than any guest. So its a no brainer for me when a friend or family member is getting married what role I wanna play… and since we have been doing this I think I have only been a guest to one wedding.. Which interestingly enough is my best friend saying “sorry dude, you are NOT shooting this, you are going to f*$%ing party and enjoy” which I did.. so I guess he won out there?
Crystal and Jess have been close friends a long time.. best friends… though I use that term pretty guarded anymore. “Best” of anything is unfair and a bit ambiguous.. I mean I do soooo many weddings and meet a lot of couples and sometimes these people labeled “best man” are the least helpful and most chaotic ;) ha!!  But for real though, when it comes down to it I’d say any friend you have for any period of time who gets you and can go great lengths of time without seeing or hangin with and then pick up where ya left off and catch up again is one of the good ones and could be considered a “best”. And that they are. I absolutely love Crystal and am embarrassed on how long its taken for me to post this up on the wedding blog. Its not for anything other than avoiding the [self imposed] pressure of writing up something spectacular. As if my words in any way will represent this wedding on the photo blog. Silly I know. But like I said, the pressure was there so I kept setting it aside.
No longer. Time for its day in the sun… lol… or at least for it to have a place on here beaming out to monitors and phones to eager eyes. Which it totally needed to a loooong time ago. These two have a baby now and are starting their family already for cryin out!! So here we are. As I look through these pics again I am reminded just how special this one was. SUPER DIY. and I guess for those who dont know, DIY really means “hope you have a lot of willing and able family and friends” cause it really takes the help of soooooooo many to make these things come together the way that they do. And this crew came together in a big way days before to make it as special as it was. I feel like I should be posting pics of the days leading up to it as well… cause we had a glorious time the night before as well.. yeah, at some point I might go back in and do that cause there were a lot of great ones up in there for sure. Campfire sing alongs and a Taco Truck at the rehearsal were a couple of highlights. annnnnnd usually [IMO] the further away you get from the border, the worse the mexican food is… not in this case :) I tried damn near everything they were serving and found that it [as with the sauces] were all was kick ass!!
Anyhow, enough for now.. gonna wrap this written part up and start adding the photos from the day to the post.. but not before saying that there were sooo many wonderful people in the mix here and we had such a great time… I wish I could go back and do it again. MORE Carnation Tree Farm Wedding’s, for real.
OK!!! I dont normally do this but Im gonna break this up here and mention that Brandon is a damn good fiddler and plays a mean banjo.. not only that but he sings well too. So this was the part at the wedding when he busted out a song that he wrote for Crystal. Damn right! it was beautiful. Caused eyes to water and least one set of panties to melt. Brandon, you the man!!
WHhhhhhhhhhaaaaat?!?! a shot of the photographer?! double fisting!? you dont say?! Thanks Dylan, pretty sure this was all you taking the cam from me for a minute so I could exist in the collection of pics ;)
