Coronado Island Wedding Photographer | Wedding at the Hotel Del
Coronado Island Wedding Photography – Hotel Del
I was tempted to break this wedding up into two separate posts… for various reasons. One because there are soooo many freakin photos in rad places, I didnt want the page to bog down or make a head explode. Then the more realistic side of my mind immediately jumped to thinking about SEO possibilities. lol. oh yeah, its silly but I feel like Im sitting on gold here.
First off a ceremony at the Immaculata Church on the USD campus in San Diego, which is an awe inspiring place. Have you ever been there? Its beyond awesome and I would LOVE to get back to at some point. And the 2nd location for the reception party was the Crown Room at the Hotel Del Coronado. Thats right, the freakin Hotel Del!! I’ve never even stayed there, let alone get a chance to photograph it. See what Im sayin ?? good stuff!
Catherine and Ken went all out and picked two epic locations to use as the backdrop for their wedding in San Diego. And those were the only official locations. They scored a trolley that carted us ALL OVER SAN DIEGO! We hit Balboa Park, went to their house for lunch and drinks… yeah this is/was no ordinary wedding. I think we started shooting about 11am… and, well.. I shot all night and even hit the after party with the bride, groom, entire bridal party… we shut the town down and were the only ones stumbling the streets at 3am. Heck, even san diego’s most kick ass wedding coordinator joined us for cocktails and ended up shutting the bar down with us. The day/ night was sooo many levels of awesome. Thankfully I was able to snatch up a room at the Hotel Del for the night… which happened to be walking distance from the bar. I was drinking straight scotch all evening and although its not James Bond’s drink of choice, again I didnt wake up with a hangover. Yuuup, the glorious life of a temecula wedding photographer. New people, new party, every. single. weekend.
I could give you a play by play of the day but thats not what you came here for, was it??? to read my ramblings? nahhh. its time for the photos.
