Affordable Wedding Photographers in Temecula

Temecula Wedding Photographers

So this tends to happen a lot… I kinda just figured I’d talk about it on the NEW personal blog 🙂

A new bride is cruising the web and shopping around… been all over the place already.  stumbles upon our site. Maybe through craigslist or through some other random avenue like facebook. a wedding blog. << SIDE NOTE -I’ll be honest our web visibility for organic searches for Temecula Wedding Photographer arent the best as of yet. In fact I dont even think that google local even has us pull up until page 3/ and if youre like me then you arent going back 3 pages to find something… we might as well be ghosts on google.  Yahoo and Bing are MUCH better for us. Again, lets be honest. how many of you guys use yahoo or bing!? mmmmhhhmmm. thats what I thought. Well, for that reason I am working on it. Building up visibility for terms people search out when looking to find a fresh wedding photographer in Temecula for their wedding. >>  Anyway, so this bride comes across the site, likes the work and without thinking twice she copies and pastes the same thing into the contact section that shes been sending out to all the other potentials. Sure, she really hopes to hear back from us but her search thus far has been all uphill and its late… shes tired. So another copy paste to save time.. a couple times shes even left the wrong name in [ouch, thats bad] Without even looking at our wedding pricing she asks for info on our packages as she is looking to find an “affordable wedding photographer in temecula”  >>that was the term that she googled… and ultimately that is what is on her mind. Affordability.

So I get the inquiry. get stoked as always thinking “wow! how cool, another person who really digs our stuff that we are doing”  The email gives praise then proceeds to ask for info on affordable packages. If the name is wrong, then this is about the time I start scratching my head wondering if she really took the time to look at all the stuff I day in and day out create to share with everyone. If so, and she slipped up I understand…. even if its all about the money. Cause you know what? Ive been there before. We had our wedding ceremony on Sunset Cliffs, the cheap version of getting married on the beach… a public cliff. We rented some chairs for $1 a piece and we married by my cousin [ordained].  We had strings playing out there, but that was about it. VERY budget. So I get it. We spent on the things that mattered to us most. Got a good wedding photographer, good videographer, good band… thought we got a good DJ, nope. [but thats a whole different discussion]

Anyway from this vague email submission I have no idea who this is. I mean, I know her name but nothing much else about her… let alone what their budget is for the wedding. So how can I even begin to speculate on what “affordable” is!? Some wedding photographers that I look up to [that do killer work] that can ask/ and get/ upwards of 10K per wedding for their artistry and take on wedding photography. Sure we are nowhere near all that yet but we are working on it. Its only been 2 years photographing weddings so far… give us time, ok 😉 ha.  Sooooo like I was saying. “affordable wedding photography” its simple enough. I shoot her over my pricing list, maybe I should call… but this case was a cut/copy/paste so I feel slightly obligated to do the same. In the email I say yes, we are very affordable [given what we ask I feel we are worth every dollar]  I can only hope she feels the way about our work that I do.

Moved.

If so, then when she sees the pricelist, it will be reasonable in her mind for what she is getting.

I have no idea of a clients net worth, status or anything else… I can only assume she is drawn to the stylized photography we do. The real emotion. The real moments. And in terms of priority: The artistry comes 1st and when push comes to shove she believes in compromise on the biggest day so long as its in the right areas… for her. She wants to remember this years later as though it happened just a few days ago. Shed rather cheap out on the cake [cause it doesnt last] or the flowers [those get tossed out too] and spend her money on an amazing dress, coverage and entertainment.
