San Diego Botanic Garden Wedding | Temecula Wedding Photographer
Tom and Jess had a mid-day wedding amongst a small group of family and friends. I have to admit its a strange feeling wrapping up a wedding shortly after lunch at 3pm… but I really liked it! Such a nice break from the norm. The day started early but it was a breath of fresh air, in The San Diego Botanic Garden, a place with a ton of natural beauty and… you guessed it, fresh air ;) A wedding photographers paradise, we had the place to ourselves. It was quiet, intimate and everything they wanted it to be and it fit these two perfectly. They were married by a friend among their friends and set aside all the extra distractions that come with the traditional day… no garter, bouquet toss, formal dances etc. just kept things real. [which I admire] It can be hard to do that these days, with all the outside pressure by various wedding blogs and pinterest boards to go over the top with various details, Jess and Tom chose to keep the focus on what was truly important to them… the company of the guests they invited. Without all the traditional stuff in there it left them with a ton of time… time to talk, time to relax, time to take pics… just a lot of time to do what they wanted. There were great conversations, games and we even set up a photo booth for the guests. Thanks to the wonderful Sabrina for coordinating this fabulous afternoon. It was perfect.
